College Football

I am looking to see who has the best college football stadium story.

I know this could create some interesting comments, but I want to know who has a story that rivals all others. My goal is to take all the stories and pick the ten best and then have you the fans vote on the best stadium story.

This is a little off the wall, and I realize it is against the norm of tellng each other how much we hate each other's team or conference, but I was sitting around thinking about all the incredible times I had going to Buckeye games, and I wanted to get a feel for all the college teams fans.

Tell anything you want as long as it pertains to college fooball. I am curious to see just how crazy everyone gets at their tailgates or in their stadium.

On May 1, 2008 I will post the 10 best on my blog and then let you guys vote.

This is all in good fun and will help all of us pass the time until spring practices. Everyone knows how boring time is with no colege football. I am expecting great participation so have fun with it.

Good luck, and may the best story win.

  1. I have to say since I wrote the article I better put in my story. Mine takes place in 1995 when Ohio State played Notre Dame and became the first OSU team to beat them. I was in a fraternity house after the game was over and the Buckeye students were conducting their normal after game celebrations. The Columbus Police were not to pleased about this situation and began a riot control plan. They were lined up side by sde on the road I was partying on. Students were on either side of the road pelng Notre Dame fans as they walked by, I then heard a shot and the next thing I know everyone is scattering. A large cannister falls and gas starts to spread up and down the road. I run back into the frat house where it is packed from top to botom with drunken students. There was barely room to stand. We are all sitting and it is dead silent waiting for the police to kick down the door. I look to the front door and see a couple of large shadows creeping up to the door. There is a loud knock onhe door and they say "Columbus Police" and out of the silence of a hundred or so kids you hea the one funny man in the crowd reply with "Nobody's Home then everyone cracks up and scatters out every possible exit they could find. I then remember running out the back door and swallowing a lot of CS gas until I finally made it to High Street. That was an amazing day to be a Buckeye. Not the proudest moment of my life, but a great Saturday at Ohio State football.

    1. Im pretty sure i was with you Ryan, You old school buddy Mike here! I remember going to OSU to see the game, and we ended up watching it through the fence at the top of the stadium. I remember them bringing the streaker out of the stadium through the gates we were stationed at.

  2. My story takes place in 2003 it was the first game of the season and UGA was playing the Clemson Tigers in death valley, we had six starters and back up players that the Coach had suspended for the game. GA beat the Tigers 30 to 0. Me and my uncle went to get a look at the GA player's as they left the field, we were standing on a ramp about five feet above the players there was only one Clemson fan in sight, he was drunk standing beside me screaming where is David Pollick over and over again I asked him what he wanted with our future three time all american DE, he just said which one is he. I pointed Pollock out and the tiger fan started hollering David Pollock As the player approached the man took off his new Clemson jersey and slamed it down on Pollock's chest, I thought he was about to get snached and squashed but MR pollock just handed him back his jersey and smiled. The fan screamed you deserve this I don't want it anymore we suck and tossed it to the ground as our team simply trampled it on way to the locker room. That is a scene I will not soon forget.

  3. Tha t is a very funny story. Kind of reminds me of the old Coke commercial with Mean Joe Green. What a class act Pollack is.

  4. Im pretty sure i was with you Ryan, You old school buddy Mike here! I remember going to OSU to see the game, and we ended up watching it through the fence at the top of the stadium. I remember them bringing the streaker out of the stadium through the gates we were stationed at.
