2011 Kentucky Derby Odds: Is Uncle Mo No Longer Kentucky Derby Favorite?
2011 Kentucky Derby Odds have a new favorite
Goodbye Uncle Mo. This race is officially about Dialed In. The two year old is making waves as he’s a year younger than your average Derby winner.
Uncle Mo had come into the event as the slight favorite, but the stumbles the proud horse has had on his journey to Churchill Downs has been cause for pause among racing fans.
Uncle Mo has moved much in the odds as a 4-1 horse still. The news is that the critics have simmered down about Dialed In and are giving the horse its due. It’s a 3-1 favorite right now.
With Toby’s Corner out the third and fourth place look a bit different. Nehro and Archarcharch are both coming in at 8-1 and 10-1 respectively.
On the other end of the spectrum, the moist track, which could be a boon to Watch Me Go, has helped it move up in the odds as a 50-1 shot right now. The longest shot of the race is Decisive Moment who is coming in at 60-1.
There’s no doubt that the longshot odds would be bigger and a little more attractive if the front runners had less question marks coming into the race. However, the decreased odds will certainly make it for one interesting race.
