Bleacher Report can reveal that John Ferguson has finalised an action-packed card for the much anticipated Cage Contender IX on April 30, as the premier Irish promotion return to their home stronghold—the Kings Hall, Belfast.

In what promises to be an edge-of-your seat encounter, the vacant Light Heavyweight title will be up for grabs in a bout between two of the Ireland’s premier 205 pound fighters in an East Bloc-buster between Marius “Pitbull” Lapenas and Vilmar “The Animal” Erenberg.

Both fighters boast untarnished records and are equally renowned for their aggressive styles. The fight is sure to be one to remember, as the two veteran Sambo fighters will look to pick holes in each other's games.

Another highly touted clash will see the return of the promotion’s middleweight champion, Chris “The Killing” Fields, when he squares off against Merseyside’s Lee Chadwick.

With a victory over welterweight champion Cathal Pendred already to his name, Chadwick will look to dispose of Fields in a similar fashion—with a 20 second finish.

Cage Contender bantamweight champ Paul McVeigh will be watching intently as “Thee” Mark Connor plies his trade against one of the promotions fan-favourites, Damien “The Rage” Rooney.

With the possibility of a first contender being named off a win in this fight, expect both men to leave it all in the cage, putting on another showcase for the flagship Irish promotion.

The card is packed with native talent, with Taz McCombe, Dec “The Bandit” Larkin and Pat “The Fury” McAllister all holding spots.

It certainly appears to be a very exciting fight card.
