The artist formally known as Elijah Dukes has been arrested.

Again.

Dukes was arrested Sunday afternoon near Tampa, FL, and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license. Officials say the arrest took place on the westbound exit ramp of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard at Interstate 75.

According to Hillsborough County jail records, this was Dukes’ seventh arrest since 2003.

A 2002 third-round pick by the then-Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Dukes was once considered a top prospect in baseball before a series of off-the-field issues derailed his major league career. Dukes last played in the majors in 2009 with the Washington Nationals, hitting .250/.337/.393 with eight HR’s in 107 games.

Dukes is a now rapper, going by the name Fly Eli. You can find some of Fly Eli’s work on his Myspace page. No word yet if he has a Friendster account as well.
