NFL mock drafts are fantastically nerdy in the way of choose your adventure novels. It's fun to analyze and run through every different scenario regardless of the fact that a surely different outcome will render that moot. Face it—it's fantasy.

As a kid, did you ever make it through one of those books in a single try? No matter what path I chose, it was met by some variation of my horrifying doom. Kind of traumatic for a 7-year old.

Now I face the same pressure: If even one of my 32 first-round mock draft picks don't match Thursday's outcome, Bleacher Report is letting me go. NFL coaches, scouts and general managers—please don't let me down.

….Just kidding. My mock draft is featured at the bottom of the page, but this stream of posts will focus mainly on the predicted picks of ESPN's Todd McShay and Mel Kiper, my fellow Bleacher Report NFL Associate Editor Collin McCollough and many other sources across the Web—before I toss in my two cents on what teams should do instead.
