At UFC 134, Anderson Silva will face the last fighter to earn a victory over him, Yushin Okami. Okami was granted a win over Silva after Silva delivered an illegal upkick to the face of Okami at "Rumble on the Rock 8" in January of 2006.
The way that Okami won the fight still seems to eat away at Silva, the UFC middleweight champion. "I was a little surprised with his reaction to that," Silva told the LA Times. "Do I think he could have continued? I do think he could have continued. But he had the rules in his favor. I did an illegal kick and he chose that it was better not to continue."
Since that loss, Silva has gone on a 14-fight winning streak, with all but one of those wins coming in the UFC. His 13-fight UFC streak is the longest in the promotion's history.
Since capturing the UFC middleweight title from Rich Franklin in 2006, he has defended the title eight times, also a UFC record.
