The 2011 NBA Draft has seen a lot of flux with a number of potential prospects opting to stay in college for another season.
Harrison Barnes, Perry Jones and Jared Sullinger were all considered locks for the lottery well before the NCAA tournament was underway, but they made the mature decision to stay in college to develop their skills further before attempting to make their mark at the pro level.
Despite the dearth of star power in the draft, there are still a number of interesting prospects that will be available this June. Granted, a number of those prospects have the dreaded “high upside, high risk” label tagged on them, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Regardless, as teams always do, they’ll look to the draft for the next star and hopefully find an impact player that can turn the fortunes of the team around.
