According to ESPN's Adam Schefter Miami Dolphins' star wide receiver Brandon Marshall is in intensive care after being stabbed during what is being regarded as a domestic dispute.

While specific details were not immediately known, Marshall's attacker is presumed to be his wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, and he was reportedly stabbed in the stomach.

Marshall's agent Kenneth McGuire spoke to the media, saying, "This is a very difficult time for Brandon and his family, thankfully he will make a full recovery." Per Schefter, Marshall's stomach stab wounds did not penetrate any vital organs, and his recovery time period should be roughly 2-3 weeks.

Marshall had kept a fairly clean slate since arriving in Miami via a trade with the Denver Broncos, giving the Dolphins a legitimate star receiver in an attempt to improve a lethargic passing offense.

Marshall is reportedly not in any serious danger, and should make a full recovery.
