When this week's AP Polls were released, the University of Dayton Flyers (14-1) were ranked 14th in the nation.

This is their highest ranking since December of 1967 when they were ranked sixth.

You may not have heard of the Flyers before but they play in the A-10 conference along with 20th-ranked Xavier and 23rd-ranked Rhode Island.

Also, last month they had a shocking upset over the University of Pittsburgh who at the time was ranked sixth. The Flyers had a commanding 25-point win.

Currently Dayton is on a 13-game winning streak. A big part of their success is their shooting. The Flyers are currently shooting 48.5 percent. Their best field goal percentage in 20 years. But thats not the only part of their success.

The Flyers also do a good job of spreading the ball around to all of their players, says head coach Brian Gregory.

Tonight the Flyers have a key matchup with the University of Massachuesetts (11-4). This will be another tough test for the Flyers as they have already had many this season.

The Flyers don't look to be worrying too much though as they are playing extremely hot lately and look to make a great run in the NCAA tournament.

  1. UD is already without super freshman Chris Wright for about 6 weeks and in the UMass game lost 2007 A10 6th man of the year Charles Little for 4-6 weeks

Will be tough in a good A10 without 2 of their 3 best front court players
