NBA Draft 2011 Sees the Charlotte Bobcats Snag Alec Burks at No. 9
Charlotte has needs all over the place, especially on the perimeter where mediocre players have done little to boost the Bobcats in the standings.
Based on how the draft is likely to play out, Charlotte will choose between Big 12 stars Alec Burks and Marcus Morris at No. 9.
Will Michael Jordan's brain trust make the correct choice?

Player Analysis
A scorer, pure and simple.
NBA general managers drool over players like Burks, a lanky 6-6 wing capable of creating his own shot.
As he sub-30 career 3-point percentage suggests, he is more comfortable taking shots inside the arc.
His ball-handling skills make him a dangerous player who is more comfortable going left to get his shot.
Although he is officially listed at 200 pounds in Colorado's media guide, Burks has a good deal of work to do in the weight room if he hopes to see action early in his NBA career.
Pro Projection: Solid NBA Starter
Burks is a late-bloomer who went from being just another decent player on a bad team to a All-American performer on a borderline NCAA Tournament team.
It's simply impossible to not credit Burks for the Buffaloes improvement last season.
At the NBA level, he should make an impact as a scorer. His defensive abilities and all-around game will be average, but every team needs someone to fill it up.
Pick Grade: A
Don't worry, Bobcats Nation, Burks won't be the second coming of Gerald Henderson.
Nabbing Burks at No. 9 is an absolute steal in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Now if only Charlotte could find a way to unload Stephen Jackson.
