UFC 129: Mark Hominick To Be Sponsored by CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats
It looks like the fans of Toronto will not be the only people supporting UFC featherweight contender, Mark Hominick.
According to MMAJunkie.com, CFL football team Hamilton Tiger-Cats will announce a sponsorship/partnership with Hominick, who will contend for the UFC Featherweight Title at UFC 129 next weekend.
It is also learned that Hominick, a native of London, Ontario, will wear the Tiger-Cats logo during his walkout at the Rogers Centre, which is expected to hold 55,000 fans.
Hominick will also be honoured at Tiger-Cats game on July 16.
The website also reports that details on the deal will be announced at an upcoming press conference in Burlington, Ontario later today.
The deal is one of the more rare sponsorships in mixed martial arts history and it is evident that the sport is beginning to become accepted among other professional sports leagues and mainstream media.
