Cheyenne Woods Will Get Quite The Reception When She Goes Pro

The golf world has been waiting for what seems like eons for Tiger Woods to re-establish the dominance he once had over the field.

For now, we must be content with a stirring surge he commanded on the last day of the 2011 Masters. He came up short while still providing some exciting moments. I'll take it.

The next great Woods moment may not even come from Tiger himself, it may be the coming out party for his niece Cheyenne Woods.

The Internet was a buzz this week after Cheyenne took home the ACC title in epic form. She finished five under 208. That was good enough to trounce the next best golfer. North Carolina junior Allie White finished in second place, seven strokes behind.

Now that's the type of dominance I am talking about. She sounded a bit like her uncle after the tournament as well.

Today, I really felt confident all day and knew I could hit the shots that I wanted to. That was important on this course because the greens are so slick that you have to land the ball in the right spots.

Woods is a junior at Wake Forrest. For now, she is content to hone her game before graduating and hitting the LPGA Tour. If the recent media frenzy surrounding her is any indication, she is in store for quite a reception when she goes pro.

It is dangerous to compare her to Tiger Woods at this stage. Tiger is one of the greatest golfers to ever live. However, the excitement following her after her college days are over may be the most we have seen for any female golfer.

She looks poised and ready. I can't wait to see how she fares under the intense pressure of a professional Tour.

Samantha Posey Hits Home Run Cycle Making Brother Buster Posey Proud

The San Francisco Giants have no qualms with Buster Posey's production. The World Series Champion and 2010 Rookie of the year is off to another great year behind the dish.

It's still early in the baseball season but Buster is heating up, batting .308 with three home runs. You can't ask for more production from your backstop. He will surely represent the National League in the All-Star game for years to come.

However, his numbers pale in comparison to what his sister is throwing down for Valdosta State University. The star third basemen had to play a double header recently against Albany State. That is usually a pain for ball players who may be slumping.

If you happen to be scorching hot, you want to play as many games as possible. Samantha Posey, my friends, is scorching hot. She did the impossible in the two games, hitting a home run cycle.

That would be the marvelous feat of hitting a solo shot, two-run home run, three-run home, run and a grand slam.

That's all in a day's work for the softball player that rose her batting average to .468 and her slugging percentage to .908. She accounted for 11 RBI's on the day.

Forget spring training, we need to find out what the Posey's were eating as kids. Bottle that formula and sell it to the MLB players that are forever looking for an edge.

Mike Leach Finally Drops His Social Media Phobia and Opens Twitter Account

It wasn't that long ago that then Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach banned his players from using Twitter. The man who would later be fired by the Red Raiders program wanted no sign of his student-athleets to touch that particular social media tool.

What a difference two years makes. What was true in 2009 is more so today. Every single person in the media has a Twitter account.

That is just the way news breaks in the modern era. Leach had to get on board or sink to the bottom of the pile of football analysts.

Leach has opened a Twitter account. I will say that this is less about hypocrisy and more about necessity. Leach left his gig at Texas Tech and took up with CBS. They have no qualms how Leach allegedly treats players with a concussion.

His job as college football analysts mandates that he not only be aware of the breaking news of the day, but that he himself form some sort of following in the cyber world.

So now the man with a deathly fear of Twitter, took to the site and published this little gem.

So I only get 140 characters on this thing?...That's it?! This is going to be tough. Hello Twitter world.

I am just glad Leach knows how to operate a computer or smart phone. Whatever he used to post his first tweet ever, I am sure he called it a gizmo or gadget.

Brooklyn Decker Goes Topless in New Spread by Mark Squires

Mark Squires got off easy. The photographer recently shot Brooklyn Decker topless, and wouldn't you know it, they came out amazing.

This must have been Squires easiest shoot ever. It could quite possibly be his best as well. Anything featuring Brooklyn Decker is automatically gold. Sport's Illustrated Swimsuits Issue? Check. Andy Roddick? Still going strong.

Adam Sandler's new movie Just Go With It? Okay, Decker may not be a miracle worker. She's human after all.

Decker is a star on the rise. She has been featured in a movie, and Women's Health has her listed as the best body in 2010 as reported by The Improper Fashion. In that issue, she beat out the likes of Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba.

I have to say they go this one right. Out of all the lovelies in this world, Decker is out and out one of the best. She is the type of girl that makes you forget what you were about to say. All you can do is stutter some meaningless words and slap your face as she passes.

I can't wait for her next nude photo spread. Yes, I am a greedy little man. I want my cake, the frosting and some cake on the side. In the meantime, I will be ogling this pictures some more.

Maria Sharapova Takes Time to Relax on 24th Birthday in the Bahamas

Maria Sharapova deserves some time off. She's been working her tail off trying to get back into form, and it has paid off with a number nine world ranking.

The tennis star, and fiancee to New Jersey Nets brick layer Sasha Vujacic, took time to relax and celebrate in the Bahamas this past weekend.

The woman who is worth millions of dollars was turning 24. When I was that age, I was just trying to make sure I had enough bus fare for tomorrow's ride to work. Then again, I never had the serve or volley that Maria does. I'm also not much to look at in a tennis skirt either.

Sharapova took off after watching her man close out the NBA season. She was greeted on her birthday with a three-tiered cake. She had nothing but nice things to say on her big day.

Maria is also featured in a brand new Nike ad "Lace up, Save Lives." It is a campaign hoping to raise money and awareness for AIDS relief in Africa. You can see the commercial spot here.

Serena Williams Looks Marvelous at Range Rover Launch Party

Never count Serena Williams out. The tennis star has returned to the practice court after almost a year off from a foot injury.

Just when we were about to cast her off, she returns like one of her vicious volleys. That is when she began to regale us with her rather awkward sense of style.

Her return was marked by a Twitter picture of Williams in head-to-toe hot pink Lycra suit. She looked like a buffed out Easter bunny. That was not all.

Williams then took to a Miami Beach last weekend. That is when she choose to wear a mi-matched bikini outfit that looked to be two sizes too small. It was just another day in the life of a sports star that dances to her own tunes.

She has her own sense of style and I respect that. I didn't say I like it, or that I am not forever nauseated by some of the things she chooses to wear. I simply respect her carefree attitude.

Williams was at the launch party for the 2010 Range Rover Evoque. She was joined by fellow athlete and shut down cornerback, Darrelle Revis. Neither of which could possibly drive comfortably in the tiny little car.

I was once again shocked, but pleasantly this time. Serena Williams was wearing a simple dress. Granted it was purple, but it didn't look like something Lady Gaga gave away to the Salvation Army. That my friends is progress.

Troy Polamalu Has the Number One Selling Jersey in the NFL

Troy Polamalu celebrated his 30th birthday on Tuesday. If he ever had hopes of having his number 43 be the best selling jersey amongst NFL fans, there was no need to use that wish when blowing out the candles.

The long-haired safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers is number one when it comes to jersey sales. That is quite a feat considering the most popular jerseys belong to quarterbacks.

Polamalu has the number one spot, but eight of the next nine jerseys belong to quarterbacks; Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow, Michael Vick, Tom Brady, Tony Romo and Eli Manning.

It makes sense that the guys that have the ball for the majority of the game would be the most popular, but how did Polamalu factor into this game. He plays on the wrong side of the ball to create such a following.

There are three things at work here, storied franchise, exposure and talent.

Troy plays for one of the most successful franchises in football. Their Super Bowl wins, and hard-hitting style of football has their fan base reaching all parts of the globe. That means their players are that much more visible than others.

We can also say that Troy is just as recognizable as most quarterbacks. His commercials hawking hair care products are ubiquitous. Even the most wayward of fans know the face and/or name of Troy Polamalu.

That leaves his talent to shore up the rest. Polamalu plays with a relentless abandon. His fearless style is the reason he is so often injured. It is also why so many NFL fans are enamored with the brute.

He plays with the zeal and passion that we want from all of our sports stars. That is why his jersey is at the top of the heap.

It is also the reason that I have no problem with it.

Chad Ochocinco Gets into Twitter War With Fans over NFL Lockout

Chad Ochocinco may want to log out from his Twitter account for a while. The Cincinnati Bengals star receiver took up arms today against NFL fans that called him out over the NFL Lockout.

It all started with an inflammatory tweet from an NFL fan. A person that goes by the Twitter handle @LaFitted, tweeted the following.

@ochocinco Motherf****rs are dying everyday from hunger. And you punks want more money to play a sport f*** you and your union I'm w/owners

Let me say that is some silly logic. That is like saying that the food at Dominoes is greasy so you are going to start eating at Pizza Hut instead.

The last thing the world needs is people cheering for owners. Trust me, they are just as bad, if not worse, than the players in this lockout fiasco.

Chad would not be called out without voicing his opinion. He replied with a very heartfelt and sincere rebuttal.

If only my debate classes in high school could have been so intriguing. I might have gone on to be an exceptional litigator. But alas, successful arguments never end with a four-letter word blast.

So now we know that the NFL Lockout actually affects the players. You get the sense it is a touchy subject for Ocho. But his conflict resolution skills need some tweaking.

I thoroughly enjoy how he tries to wrap up the argument. He states, "Oh well it's 4-20 what are we doing today?"

Chicago Blackhawks Fan Vince Vaughn Gets a Kick Out of Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Chicago Blackhawks were facing elimination on Tuesday night. The stress was palpable from the crowd. The last thing they wanted was the Vancouver Canucks to celebrate on their ice.

Vince Vaughn was one of those fans. He brought his wife Kyla along for game four. Win or lose, the night was going to be memorable.

That was about the moment when Roberto Luongo forgot how to tend goal. The Canucks goalie let just about anything into the net. If you ever wanted to see what the inside of a net looks like, last night was your chance.

Luongo would have stamped your hand and let you right in. Luongo let six pucks through on 28 shots. There were times when I thought Roberto was going to bust out some popcorn, and just watch the goals rack up.

Blackhawks fans couldn't have been more pleased, including Vince Vaughn. The star of my favorite movie, Swingers, picked the perfect time to mock poor Roberto Luongo.

As you can see in this picture posted by Yahoo Sports, Vaughn has no shame in letting Luongo have it. You can almost hear him say, "you, yes you Roberto, you made my night."

I think the city of Chicago should send the Canucks goalie a fruit basket. They should write him a thank you card at the very least.

Phoenix Suns Star Steve Nash Gets Lap Dance from Nicki Minaj

The only thing I get when I go to a concert is beer soaked shoes, a hangover and a huge depletion in my checking account. When Steve Nash goes to a concert, he gets a lap dance.

I guess I am going about it all the wrong way.

I need to take a page out of Nash's book for the next concert I go to. I am not sure I want the entirety of Arcade Fire humping my leg though.

Steve Nash recently attended a concert featuring the hip-hop diva Nicki Minaj. At some point, Minaj brings the Phoenix Suns star guard, and only worthwhile player, onto the stage. That is when she gives him the concert of his life.

She teases him with some sultry moves before grinding him like there was no tomorrow. Nash just sits there with the a refined grin. I have never known Steve Nash to have more than one emotion.

If he hits a game winner, or gets bumped with a heavy screen, his mannerisms are always the same. He does manage a bit of a grin which makes me believe he is having a blast.

Minaj must have a fetish for star NBA point guards. It was a little over a week ago when she brought Chris Paul on stage and gave him the same treatment. Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo better buy their tickets soon.

If Chris Paul's performance against the Lakers in game one is any indication, Minaj's lap dances may be a good luck charm. Derek Fisher, please go see Nicki Minaj. I am begging you.
