There may not be a division in football tougher to pick than the AFC West.
Last season, the Chiefs came out of nowhere and shocked the world with a top-notch running game to propel them into the playoffs.
Still, picking the Chiefs to repeat may not be the smartest choice. With Oakland on the rise (yes, I said Oakland on the rise) and the Chargers always competitive, this might not be a battle of talent or dominance.
It might be a battle of attrition. About the only AFC West team that might not be able to count on a division chance is the Denver Broncos. With the second pick in the draft, and if Tebow becomes TEBOW, then we could all be humming a different tune.
Don’t count me in with the guys who give the Broncos a chance, but then again, I’ve been wrong plenty of times before.
With the NFL Schedule 2011 being released today, we are going to get a glimpse at just where the fortunes might lie for the AFC West crown.
