Monday Night Football Schedule 2011 Sees NY Giants Match Up with Saints for First Time Since 2009

Last season, the New York Giants didn't face the New Orleans Saints at all.

Now they'll get the pleasure of facing the Saints in the rowdy Louisiana Superdome on Monday Night Football in Week 12 of the 2011-2012 NFL season.

The Giants barely missed out on the playoffs in 2010, losing two crucial matchups back-to-back against the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers at the end of the season and finishing 10-6.

The ghost of Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson, no matter where he is, will always haunt them after he returned a punt for a game-winning touchdown in their Week 15 matchup that set the ball rolling toward their eventual doom.

But despite a flailing collapse at the end of last season, the Giants still finished 10-6 and have a good team behind quarterback Eli Manning and defensive end Justin Tuck.

As for the Saints, they finished 11-5, winning seven of their last nine games, but were ousted by the surprising Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card round of the playoffs.

With these two teams, there should be a lot of points put on the board in Week 12.
