2011 NFL Schedule Has the Washington Redskins Hosting the Giants in Week 1
The here and now doesn't look so great for fans of the Washington Redskins. The team has more than its fair share of problems (i.e. quarterback) and there's only so much the Skins are going to be able to do with the No. 10 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Instead of thinking about that, why don't we look ahead? The Redskins' 2011 schedule is due to be released in less than two hours now, and courtesy of Manish Mehta at the New York Daily News, we now know that the Redskins will open the season by hosting the New York Giants.

The game will be played on Sunday, September 11th, which of course is the 10th anniversary of 9/11. There was some speculation that the Giants would open up against the Jets, but it appears that the NFL had other ideas.
The Redskins dropped both of their meetings against the NFC East-rival Giants. They won only two divisional matchups all season, as they beat the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 and then won at the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4.
