This next video comes from Adam Rubin’s—or as Omar Minaya calls him “The next assistant to the Traveling Secretary”—Twitter account. The video is of New York Mets 3B David Wright having a catch with some lucky Atlanta Braves’ fans before their game on Sunday.

This must have been a pretty awesome moment for those kids.

The reason I say Jason Motte could learn something from Wright is because when I and some friends attended a Milwaukee Brewers – St. Louis Cardinals game two years ago, Motte completely ignored every fan who asked him for a ball during batting practice. I am not saying Motte should have had a catch with the fans like Wright did in this video, but when a 10-year old asks for a ball, give him the ball.
