Our female wrestlers don't always garner a lot of love or articles here but I felt compelled to write a piece on one WWE diva in particular.
I was on Wrestling News World's website today and saw that despite several rumors, Kelly Kelly will not be posing for Playboy magazine. The WWE and Playboy have developed this relationship over the years where a diva goes on to pose for the risque publication. Some of the past models being: Sable, Chyna, and more recently, Maria.
On Kelly's Myspace page, she wrote, "...ok so anyways here is the answer to the question people have been asking me..i finally have a chance to set the record straight...im not posing for playboy..nothing against playboy at all but i dont know who is posing for playboy but it wont be me. i just want to concentrate on wrestling right now."
I am delighted by this news. I have nothing against Playboy, although in my 24 years of existence I have looked at one issue and I didn't even purchase it. I'm sure they are a great company and they bring pleasure to those who read it but I'm all for someone who is wrestling to be focused on wrestling.
I despise those individuals who will use an opportunity like wrestling for the WWE for an ulterior motive. If you wanted to model then become a model. You went the path of a wrestler, so wrestle. This is not to say that you can't do other things because no one can wrestle forever, but let the squared circle be your top focus.
The female wrestlers in the WWE and the way they are booked to look have drawn the ire of many in the wrestling community. In the past, Vince McMahon's ladies were mainly there to have swim suit competitions and pillow fights but since the TNA Knockouts division has done so well, WWE divas now seem to all about grappling.
Kelly Kelly first broke in on ECW as the girlfriend of Mike Knox and attempted to entice us all with her dancing. From there she became a member of Extreme Expose with Layla El and Brooke (the latter is no longer with the E). Kelly squared is young, just turned 21 I believe, and has a long future ahead of her. Currently, she is one of the two face divas on Raw, along with Mickie James.
It was once said she could be the next Sunny as a valet but it appears for the time being, she is a wrestler. Her in-ring work has improved and it is clear that the ring is where she wants to be. I don't see it happening right now but we should all expect a championship reign for her in the future. And with her mind completely on wrestling, her stock and ability can only continue to rise.
(But if Kelly ever was to want to pose for me, I'm definitely for that, because she is too cute.)

I'm with you on this Shane. As much as i would love to see Kelly Kelly naked im glad she's focusing on her wrestling if she keeps up this attitude she could be the next Trish Stratus and WWE Womens Champion.

I am glad she is concentrating on wrestling aswell, but she is getting a push by the WWE, so she might change her mind by Wrestlemania time, who knows
