Albert Riera - The required width needed @ Liverpool fc?

I'm not sure what the general consensus regarding our latest addition to the first team squad, but for me personally I think he is potentially a really good signing.

From his debut Vs Man Ure to the present I feel he has slotted in very well at Anfield and into Rafa's style of play. He possesses a nice left peg, excellent technique and his work rate seems up to scratch at the moment. (Which is a great sign for an overseas winger)

I like the way he stays wide, is always an option for the player in possession and seems to enjoy the ball played into feet which is what we all like to see.

I feel Kuyt has also upped his game this year, he has always worked effortlessly for the team but this season he seems to me to be playing with more confidence - some nice one/two touch football and even beating players occasionally.

I must add that he needs to maintain this level as I think Ryan Babel could really excel for Liverpool of given that right midfield/wing role, he has bags of skill and pace to burn but he just needs to work on his final ball.

Finally, with Yossi, Fabio, El Zar and maybe even Pennant, we now several half decent back up players to our first choice wide men - Riera and Kuyt/Babel which can only benefit Liverpool Fc in the long term.
