Cheyenne Woods is Heating up the Links Drawing Comparisons to Skylar Diggins

The sports world has been rocked. I'm not talking about the NFL lockout, Manny Pacquiao or comments made by Kobe Bryant. We sports fans have been bombarded with hot young women on the brink of stardom.

A couple of weeks ago, Skylar Diggins was taking her Notre Dame team to the NCAA Finals. The basketball star was the toast of the town, and the object of desires. Diggins has been mentioned by everyone from Chris Brown to Lil' Wayne.

There is yet another female sports star on the rise. It is none other than Tiger Woods' niece. Yes, the same Tiger Woods that just finished fourth at the 2011 Masters.

His niece, Cheyenne Woods, is a junior at Wake Forrest. She happens to be an accomplished golfer. She just won the ACC Individual Woman's Tournament. She shot a five-under 208. That was seven strokes better than second place finisher Allie White.

It sounds like she is a ship off the ol' Uncle. ESPN, reporting on the ACC Tourney, also stated that Tiger Woods was quite proud of his niece. Going as far as tweeting, "My niece, Cheyenne, just won the ACC golf title by 7 shots! That's awesome, I'm so proud of her."

There is another Woods in the world that can master a golf course. That is not the point though. The real point. The one of importance and weight is that there is another hot chick that is good at sports.

Sorry to demean this triumph for Cheyenne in such a way, but that is what caught my eye. She is beautiful. Now is she more stunning than Skylar Diggins? I have to say yes.

This is one man's opinion, but the golf digs may have something to do with it. Basketball uniforms are so unflattering. Now golf, that is a dress code I can get behind.

Kendra Wilkinson Needs Big Scores to Stay on 'Dancing With the Stars'

I will start by writing that I really hope Kendra Wilkinson stays on the hit show Dancing With the Stars. I would just like the reality star, and wife on Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Hank Baskett, to earn her spot on the stage.

Last week was a travesty of justice. Since the NFL is locked out, and for some reason the Lakers are playing on Wednesday, I will use Kendra to be serious about today.

Wilkinson has been completely stiff in her performances. The worst of it was in week four when she danced the Viennese Waltz. Well, danced may be too strong of a word. She kind of just lurked around the stage like a hot Frankenstein.

Then she and her partner Louis Van Amstel received the lowest scores of the night. You would think such travesties would inch you closer to walking the plank. Instead, it was former boxer Sugar Ray Leonard to make the week four exit.

Kendra had been saved by the fans that adore her. These fans are blinded by affection. I admit Kendra is nice to look at, but her dancing can be atrocious at times. How about some elegance?

Wilkinson will again get another shot at dancing infamy tonight. The duo take on on the Foxtrot. It is a quick-footed dance that mandates Kendra show some passion. I know she has it in her.

For one reason or another, she has been content to stiffen up letting her dances fall flat. There is too much spunk in her to let that happen.

Here is to hoping Kendra stays on yet another week. This time I hope she earns her stay.

Floyd Mayweather Is Greeted with Chorus of Boos at Weekend Fight

In the battle between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in the court of public opinion, Manny is winning in a landslide. There is no need to go to the cards with this one. It's unanimous. Manny is the fan favorite, and Money May is fan fodder.

Professional fight ducker, Floyd Mayweather, attended this past weekend's bout. It was a WBC Welterweight clash between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz.

Ortiz took home the title, which is a huge victory with a plethora of implications for upcoming fights. For this column, we want to concentrate on the chorus of boos that accompanied Floyd Mayweather when he was pictured on the arena's jumbo-tron.

Mayweather was sitting ringside with buddy and Hip-Hop star 50 Cent. As soon as his image was shown, the entire crowd let's him have it.

As the action in the ring heated so was the booing and the jeering Mayweather received whenever he was shown in the screens here. Shout of “Stop running Floyd.” were heard from the very animated crowd. He was shown again the period between the eight and ninth rounds and the boos became louder and louder from the crowd watching the fight. This was followed by chants of “Fight Manny, Fight Manny, Fight Manny.” Mayweather was smiling as the cameras beamed on him seemingly mindless of the disapproval shown to him by the crowd. Mayweather and 50 cent left with their entourage at the end of the fight without even waiting for the announcement of the winner. They were escorted by a group of bodyguards and also with continued boos from the crowd as they exited the arena.

Floyd Mayweather can no longer continue this charade. He has placed a higher degree of testing on Manny Pacquiao for their hypothetical fight. Testing that is above and beyond what is asked by the sport.

His demands have been greeted by the public with complete disdain. The man that wants to be considered as the best of all-time will be known as a coward if he keeps this up. The message from fans is being read loud and clear, fight Many Pacquiao.

I am but the messenger, but I agree with the sentiment. The time is running out for Floyd to salvage his image. If the fight never occurs, this will go down as the biggest duck job in history.

Win or lose, Mayweather gets a whole lot more respect in fighting Manny than he does by just boxing stiffs.

Skylar Diggins Has A Big Time Admirer in Lil' Wayne

It is nice to be admired.

I once had a dog that would frequently attempt to get down and dirty on my leg. That is as close as I have gotten to procuring a fan base. I will take it.

Skylar Diggins has an actual human fan base. One of her biggest fans happens to be one of the biggest names in Hip-Hop, Lil' Wayne.

Lil' Wayne is completely taken with the Notre Dame star guard. He has tweeted all about it. Weezy even took to the stage recently rocking a number four Notre Dame jersey. That would be a Skylar Diggins jersey if you needed your hand held.

Well Lil' Weezy has some more words for the lovely Skylar. He was on tour in Indiana recently. That is where the rapper took the time to make a video to officially thwart rumors that he was dating his stylist.

You can view the video at Rap-Up.com. In the video, Lil' Wayne does well to clear once and for all the relationship that he has with Marissa Torres. He states the she is the reason he looks so fly, and that she is merely his stylist and not his girlfriend.

That brought Lil' Wayne to perhaps the real reason for making the video, a shout out to Skylar Diggins. At the minute mark in the video, Lil' Wayne simply states, "I'm in Indiana, looking for Skylar Diggins."

That is when we are transported to Weezy doing his thing on stage wearing Skylar's jersey.

Diggins is the biggest name in women's basketball right now. Much of that is thanks to the popularity she has received from the Hip-hop world. She really should send Lil' Wayne a gift basket of some sort.

However, if he is still on this Skylar kick in a few weeks, I may have to downgrade the affection from adorable pully love to creepy stalker. There is a fine line between love and overbearing crush. That is why I had to keep a water hose near for my over zealous dog.

Irina Shayk Goes Nude in Latest Marc Jacobs' Campaign

What would you give to have a naked Irina Shayk all over you?

I am here to tell you that just about anyone can live out that dream. No, Irina Shayk is not leaving her fanciful boyfriend, soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. She is merely lending her naked image to Marc Jacobs.

The model is going nude for the Jacobs' campaign, "Protect the Skin You're In." Jacobs has used many celebrities and models to raise money and awareness for skin cancer.

Shayk joins Naomi Campbell, Victoria Beckham and Chloe Sevigny as celebs and models that dropped their drawers in the name of cancer awareness. 

Shayk had a few words for the media following her newest venture.

The Second Episode of 'Khloe & Lamar' is Fueled by Fighting Among the Newlyweds

The second episode of Khloe & Lamar was a let down in some respects, and a hit in others. It was sort of like the Los Angeles Lakers opening game in round one against the Hornets.

I had so many expectations for the game that went sadly unfulfilled. The Lakers took to the court, and tried to play 48 minutes as zombies and not actual NBA athletes.

Before episode two, I had hopes that Khloe & Lamar was more than a simple reality show. The first episode had me locked in and ready for more. Number two? Not so much.

Every little nuance you have come to expect from every other reality show was there in all its grandeur. The deep emotion of the first episode was gone. That is where Lamar and Khloe came to grips with the strained relationship Lamar Odom has with his estranged father.

Granted, every show cannot be as emotional. There are not enough Kleenex in the world for something as tragic as that. I would like some substance with my entertainment though.

In episode two, the couple fight.

We are to believe that Khloe Kardashian would kick Lamar's best friend of 20 years out of the apartment, and then change the locks. That kind of behavior is better suited for the loony hospital. Such is the landscape of modern television.

If no real problems exist in TV, they are drummed up and exaggerated on "reality" television. Khloe tells the audience:

Lamar is too in love with all of his friends and Lamar feels like if he doesn’t, there not going to be his friends — that's what happened in the past. 

Odom's response to the changing of the locks is priceless. He states in the only way he can, "What kind of preschool s*** is that?"

And I agree. Khloe takes a small issue and blows it completely out of proportion. However, this is not Khloe Kardashian, wife of Lamar Odom. This is Khloe playing a character. Once producers get their hooks on a premise, the whole show gets sullied with hyperbole.

My hopes that Khloe & Lamar would sidestep the landmine that other shows have stepped in was thwarted. Yes, I will be tuning into week three. What can I say? I know this stuff is bad for me, but I consume it anyway.

This is why I will never turn down an opportunity to visit an In & Out Burger. Sin is in after all.

Kim Kardashian Looks Hot Poolside in Las Vegas

I, like millions of people around the world, have descended upon Las Vegas. I have left a good portion of my earnings there in the form of bad luck at the poker room or craps table. I have also gained a hefty amount at their buffets.

What I never do is visit the pool. A man of my size was meant for much more confined endeavors. Even if I weren't of a zoftig proportion, I still wouldn't want to spend an afternoon at an overcrowded pool that wreaks of cologne, suntan lotion and desperation.

That is where Kim Kardashian comes in. The hottest WAG out there knows how to hit the pool in Sin City. She was a guest at Wet Republic's grand opening of their summer season.

Serena Williams Loses Latest Battle With Bikini

Serena Williams had been struggling of late. The tennis star has been off the court for close to a year with a foot injury. She then gave us all a scare when she was discovered to have a pulmonary embolism last month.

Williams put a smile on all of our faces when she recently tweeted a picture of her on the mend. She was practicing while covered in hot pink Lycra from head to toe. That fashion nightmare pales in comparison to Serena's outfit during a recent Miami beach romp.

Williams was seen in mismatched bikini attire. You can view the photos in all their glory here. As you can see, her bikini top is holding on for dear life. You have to think that is Serena sneezed the awkward top section would blow off, and tumble down the beach.

If that weren't enough, she seems to be wearing bikini bottoms that she picked-out with her eyes closed. The bottoms are roughly the size of a large rubber band.

I am thoroughly amazed that these are staying on so well. Forget nanotube technology. We need to find out the materials that are holding Serena's bikini intact. Only then can we look to build amazing superstructures.

Look. I love Serena Williams. Her style and swagger are unparalleled. I just didn't need this sight to start my week. The image is burned into my retinas, and not in a good way.

I am not a fashion expert. I tend to wear anything from my hamper that smells remotely acceptable. However, I know when something doesn't look right. In fact, please print out the Williams' pictures. If you are going to the beach, hold up these photos of Serena.

If you even somewhat resemble the tennis diva, get back in and change. You look terrible.

Michael Strahan Steps in For Regis Philbin on 'Live with Regis and Kelly'

Michael Strahan has been on numerous tryouts. The former New York Giants star is no stranger to scrutiny under the watchful eye of NFL scouts.

On Tuesday, he will have a new type of audition. Let's call it a dry run for loftier titles. Strahan has made no secret that he wants to step in for Regis Philbin when the talk show host steps down from Live with Regis and Kelly.

Strahan is no stranger to the camera. He has hosted Pros vs. Joes. Strahan also has duties on Fox's NFL Sunday as an analyst.

The former NFL player also co-hosted Live with Regis and Kelly last October. He gets another shot Tuesday when he subs in for Regis Philbin.

Mike Florio reporting for NBC Sports has confidence that Strahan's desire will not take him away from us football fans.

Strahan has said that he’ll keep his FOX job on Sundays during football season, if he lands the job as the replacement for Regis.  Though Strahan has not officially been named as a candidate for the gig, he surely wouldn’t have been invited to sit in at a time when he has made his interest clear if they weren’t thinking about possibly hiring him.

Strahan will have to compete with pop culture celebrities and icons that the daytime audience is aware of. Many who watch Live with Regis and Kelly may not necessarily be fans of the NFL.

Whether that will save or hurt his chances is unclear. The pressure is on though. Strahan will have his game face on Tuesday. I will be watching to see if he nails the audition, sorry, tryout.

Madden 12 Cover Finals Come Down to Michael Vick vs. Peyton Hillis

Football players may be locked out, but that doesn't mean a few of them can't get together in the virtual world and duke it out.

ESPN is holding a competition in conjunction with EA Sports to find the next cover athlete for Madden 12. The field was set a few weeks ago with 32 eligible NFL studs. That number has been sliced to just two. The remaining players are Michael Vick who just beat out Adrian Peterson.

The other NFL star is Peyton Hillis. Hillis just pulled off the biggest upset of the voting process. He hammered down Aaron Rodgers a peg or two. He beat the Super Bowl MVP by a score of 61% to 39%.

I have a feeling there were more Green Bay fans voting for Hillis than expected. Fans would rather their star athletes lose this competition, and not enjoy the famous Madden curse that follows the cover player throughout the season.

You really can't ask for a better duo to conclude this successful process. Hillis was a Denver Broncos castoff. He took their dismissal and proudly went on to have a fantastic year. A gritty player with a chip on his shoulder would make a fine cover athlete.

Michael Vick would be a great addition to the franchise as well. Not just because he is so talented. Rather, the amount of controversy that he brings tot he table could make this the most talked about edition of Madden ever.

As soon as Vick is named to the cover, every animal rights group in the world will boycott the video game in turn giving it the most publicity it has ever received.

Controversy is always good for us writers. It give us a chance to dish on something juicy. So either way, I win.

I also must say that Madden 12 vote has been a huge success. We all clamor for more and more football int eh offseason. This has given us some NFL news to discuss while the players and NFL hammer things out over a new CBA.

I can't wait for the Madden 13 vote.

Peyton Hillis Moves to Finals in Madden 12 Cover Voting

Peyton Hillis has broken free once again.

The highly thought of Cleveland Browns running back took on Aaron Rodgers this past week in semi-final voting for the cover of Madden 12. ESPN is working in conjunction with EA Sports to find the cover athlete of the next Madden video game.

The voting takes place here, and the results are released on the hit show SportsNation.

It is only fitting that this bracket of potential NFL players would yield a Super Bowl type of an upset. Until this time, the field of 32 has generally gone the way it should have, until now.

Peyton Hillis destroyed Aaron Rodgers by a voting score of 61% to 39%. This was the equivalent of David pinning Goliath in a cage match and then having the gall to give him some noogies right after. It was a slaughter, and I don't approve.

You can bet there were thousands of Green Bay Packers fans that flocked to the site in the hopes of getting Peyton Hillis ahead of their beloved Rodgers. There is a well known curse the comes with being the cover athlete.

Packers fans made sure their number one star would not burn out next season. You can also bet that thousands of Cleveland fans flocked to the same site in the hopes of getting Hillis to the front of the line. Curses be damned, they want something to hang their hats on.

The lovable losers from Ohio could care less if their featured running back is cursed next season. All of their sports franchises are cursed. What's one more jinx?

So if you sit back and take it all in, the whole mess makes a lot of sense. Now we have to wonder if Hillis has enough in the tank to beat out the other finalist, Michael Vick. If the Eagles fans have internet capabilities, I would say he has a very good shot.
