Mel Kiper's latest 2011 NFL Mock Draft is nearly two weeks old at this point. If nothing else, that means it's had plenty of time to settle.
As always, those of us with a vested interest in the NFL draft (i.e. me) tend to know what Kiper is thinking and doing at all times. Nobody has been mocking the draft as long as he has, and it is oftentimes quite hard to argue with him.
Of course, this doesn't mean that it's impossible to argue with Kiper. Most of the picks he makes are pretty good, but some of his picks seem to come straight out of the blue. There are more than a couple of these in his latest mock, and I'm afraid I just can't let them lie.
Instead of complaining about it, it has dawned on me that it's a better idea to be bold. That's why I'm going to spend the day going through Kiper's 2011 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 (ESPN Insider access only) pick by pick, grading them as I go.
If you're in the mood for a little NFL draft talk, feel free to pull up a chair. You're going to find plenty of that here, complete with good-natured bickering. Should be fun.
