NFL Mock Draft 2011: The New York Giants Protect Eli Manning with Second Pick
New York Giants Get O-Line Help
In this mock draft, the Giants saw Mark Ingram fall to them and they decide to take him in the first round.
Ingram is not a critical need, but he is a talent the Giants will not be able to pass up if he is there. The position of need revolves around the offensive line, so with Danny Watkins still on the board here in the second round, the Giants again take advantage of an opportunity.

While Ingram now may be seen as a bit of a reach in the first round, Watkins will be a steal.
The Giants need to tinker with their offensive line and give Eli Manning more protections. He spent too much time on the run last year and Watkins can help reduce the amount of times Manning was taking hits.
