2011 NBA Playoffs: Kobe Bryant Goes Down Just Before Halftime

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers were down by double digits to the New Orleans Hornets as the last minute of the first half ticked down at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Then Kobe did what Kobe does. Bryant hit a tough fall away jumper in the corner then fell to the court and slid toward the front row, appearing to hit the back of his head on a fan's knee.

Kobe grabbed the back of his head and stayed down in the corner while the Hornets ran the ball up the court hitting an open three because the Lakers were playing four on five defense.

The ball was quickly inbounded to Ron Artest who turned and hit a three at the halftime buzzer on a line drive heave from beyond mid court.

All of this happened in about thirty seconds. What a crazy finish to the first half for the Lakers, and what a great time of year—it's the post season.
