Michael Bush is a tough, old-school power back. He’s been in the league for a quiet 3 seasons, as he’s never been the featured back for the Raiders. But he and Darren McFadden made quite a formidable duo last season, with Bush racking up 655 yards rushing, 194 receiving yards, and 8 touchdowns.

We don’t really know if Bush is capable of being a lead back, but we know this: he’s been healthy his whole career, more than a lot of running backs can say.

A few months ago, Bush was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The Raiders have been less inclined to take own questionable guys lately, so there’s a good chance he’s done for in Oakland.

But the 1-2 combo of McFadden and Bush was more than effective in 2010, so there’s just as good a chance that Oakland makes him an offer. Oakland’s offseason spending spree (Routt, Seymour, Wimbley contracts) may prevent them from making a competitive offer, though.

The Redskins would love a power-back. Portis’ days in Washington are done, and they can’t have too much faith in Ryan Torain. Redskins’ owner Dan Snyder’s pockets are famously deep, too.

To me, Denver is the best fit. New coach John Fox definitely will hang onto his run-first philosophy in Denver. If Knowshon Moreno could stay healthy, he and Bush would make a great combination.

Prediction: Michael Bush signs with the Denver Broncos
