Braylon may have already played his last game for the Jets

Braylon Edwards is a tough guy to understand. He’s been up and down his whole career, and has never really played with an elite quarterback. He put up a few solid seasons in Cleveland, the best season being his monstrous 16 touchdown, 1300 yard campaign in 2007.

In his second season with the Jets and Mark Sanchez, Edwards was solid, putting up 900 yards and seven scores. He’s a great, big target for a young QB to work with. Sanchez was glad to have him the first four games of last year, when Santonio was serving his suspension.

Edwards, though, has some issues himself. He’s had a DUI, been suspended, and isn’t what you’d call an all-around stand up citizen. He’s also been prone to timely drops in games.

But tall, long receivers don’t grow on trees. He’s a weapon, and plenty of teams would love to have him. He won’t have a huge price tag attached to him, either.

I think the Redskins, Rams, Bears, and Chiefs would all love to have a long receiver to add to their offense. Sam Bradford is in desperate need of more targets, and Cutler loves big wide-outs. The Chiefs are also a great fit, and Haley is the no-nonsense type of guy that could get a lot of production out of Edwards.

Prediction: Edwards signs with the Kansas City Chiefs
