The Anaheim Duck will battle the Nashville Predators Without Bobby Ryan in the 2011 NHL Playoffs
Sunday, the Anaheim Ducks take on the Nashville Predators in Game 3 of their first-round matchup in the 2011 NHL Playoffs at 6:00 pm EDT on TSN .
The series is moving to Nashville and the Ducks are making the trip knowing that forward Bobby Ryan will not be traveling with the team.
Anaheim Ducks suspended forward Bobby Ryan told the LA Times:
Tomorrow when I’m watching guys leave for the rink and I’m sitting around not being able to participate and watching from the press box is going to be difficult. This time of year you need your guys to be in the lineup … It’s going to be tough to watch, tough to swallow for the next couple of days here.

While it may be tough for Ryan to deal with, the two game suspension was warranted.
NHL senior executive vice president of hockey operations Colin Campbell said in a press release concerning the Ryan stomping incident:
The actions by Ryan were both reckless and dangerous. While it was fortunate there was no injury to Blum on the play, the act of using your skate in this manner is unacceptable.
If there wasn’t bad blood before, the teams will have the footage of the stomp to add fuel to their fires. The Ducks should expect a serious attack from the Predators and their captain Shea Weber.
