2011 NFL mock drafts are not long for this world.

Alas, it seems almost sad once you realize it, but the actual NFL draft is now just two weeks away. That means we have a mere 14 days of speculation left before our parade gets rained on by the real deal.

Well, until that day arrives, I guess we have only one option: Keep mocking the draft.

As per usual, the one thing on my mind is defense. This year's draft class is teeming with talented defensive players, chief among them being defensive linemen like Marcell Dareus, Robert Quinn and Nick Fairley.

Of course, there is also Da'Quan Bowers to consider. The former Clemson defensive end was once viewed as a potential No. 1 overall pick, but his stock has slipped thanks to concerns over his right knee. He could very well end up out of the top 10.

One player who likely won't be out of the top 10 is Cam Newton. I can remember back when he wasn't even considered to be a first-round talent, and now he could be the one who goes first overall. How the mighty have risen, I suppose one might say.

In any case, I have thoughts on how all 32 picks in the first round might pan out. If you're at all curious, all you have to do is keep it here, and I'll keep the picks and the knowledge coming.
