It was only a week ago when the Arizona Cardinals gave up 56 points and six touchdowns to Jets QB Brett Favre. With the Buffalo Bills coming to town Sunday, the Cards had a different motive besides giving up eight touchdowns -- simply win the game.
They did just that as the Cardinals (3-2) thumped the Buffalo Bills (4-1) 41-17 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. Kurt Warner passed for 250 yards and tossed two touchdowns to Larry Fitzgerald. James Hightower had two rushing touchdowns, while Edgerrin James led the Cards with 57 rush yards and a touchdown.
Bills QB Trent Edwards was carted off the field on the opening drive after a nasty hit from Adrian Wilson on a safety blitz. Edwards was diagnosed with a concussion and did fly home with the team after the game. Wilson had a sore hamstring and almost sat out of Sunday's game, but his decision to play leaves the Bills wondering who there quarterback will be in two weeks after their bye.
