Brock Lesnar vs. JDS: TUF 13 on Spike TV—Len Bentley vs. Ryan McGillivray, Rd. 2
Let’s see if these two have anything left for the second.
The striking is a little more tentative out of the blocks, but both warriors are landing. Bentley is working in some kicks while McGillivray is staying strictly with manual snipes. The action has definitely slowed and that seems to be favoring Team Lesnar’s fighter as he’s landing the (apparently) harder bombs.
He even breaks out a spinning back fist, but it doesn’t do much.
Here comes Ryan, though, as he comes steaming forward with about 2:30 minutes left in the round and forces a clinch against the cage. From there, he tries to work the takedown and succeeds incrementally. Not quite a Rampage Jackson power bomb and he couldn’t keep Bentley on the canvas so I’m not sure it matters.
They’re back on their feet now and Bentley is asserting himself as another spinning back first amounts to zip. More empty strikes fly before a third wayward back fist comes from Team Lesnar.
The horn ends another highly competitive round, but one I’d have to give to Bentley, 10-9.
