2011 NFL Mock Draft Pegs Gabe Carimi As New Offensive Tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs in NFL Draft
The Kansas City Chiefs have major needs to fix if they want to stay atop the AFC West for another season.
The loss of Charlie Weis is going to hurt them more than they want to admit and I anticipate even more rushing attempts from them next season.
The Chiefs could use an wide receiver opposite Dwyane Bowe, but No. 21 in the draft is not the place to do it.
The offensive line could us a new talent and if they get the right one, it should make the entire unit better.
Defensively they have needs at pass rusher and nose tackle and while they could reach a bit for a player at either of those positions, the best value here would be at tackle.

Carimi is a mountain of a man that played a ton of football throughout his collegiate career in the Big Ten.
He was extremely successful, is a proven winner and knows how to play the game.
He may not be the most athletic tackle, and may never be a true blindside tackle, but he will excel wherever he ends up.
His versatility will be a huge bonus to this Chiefs team that can benefit from his ability, not only pass protection, but in the run game too.
