Bleacher Report's Sal DeRose reports.

In what could only best be described as an absolute slugfest of a first round, Nick Diaz made his third title defense in six months knocking out Paul Daley.

Well, that one round had it's consequences and both fighters have been medically suspended for the time being.

The welterweight champion, Diaz, gets the worst of the medical suspensions with having to miss the next 60 days with no training and then 60 more days with no contact during training due to an eye laceration.

The challenger, Daley, though only gets 45 days with no training and 30 more with no contact due to precautionary reasons stemming from being knocked out.

Another fighter included on the list is light heavyweight, Keith Jardine, who was beat around in his fight with Gegard Mousasi but came away with a majority draw. Jardine will be suspended for the next 60 days with no training and then 60 more days with no contact during training for right eyebrow and nose lacerations.

CSAC also suspended lightweight title challenger, Tatsuya Kawajiri, for 45 days and then 30 days of no contact training.

All in all, nine fighters have been medically suspended according to a report from MMA Junkie.
