After Chase Daniel hung half-a-hundred in Lincoln, he also dropped the "bombshell" allegation that a Husker player spat on him in the pregame.

We really don’t know what to make of this considering HG never played football at a higher level than “All-Madden” on PS2.

While it is clearly poor sportsmanship, we have to think that some things that happen on the field, stay on the field (see Chad May).

That being said, HG and Husker Nation take the allegation of spitting very seriously. When we first heard of the incident and "dirty play," I couldn’t help but think about Ndamukong Suh and his late hit penalty last week, along with his other late hit that wasn’t called.

Now, St. Louis gossip writer Tim McKernan has pointed the finger at Suh as the "spitter." This all sounds like the Keith Hernandez Seinfeld episode.

While we give the benefit of the doubt to Suh, HG is seriously concerned about Suh and his lack of discipline. We didn’t see any late hits on Daniel on Saturday, but if this allegation proves to be true, it might be enough to warrant a suspension for the Texas Tech game.
