though claims of retirement have been made over the last few years, when can we really expect his exit? Will a Super Bowl ring mean the end of this heroic career? Or will he go on to play yet another game of pitch-and-catch with Donald Driver in the '08-'09 season? This has been Brett's best year by far, and, personally, I think it would be a shame to see him leave the game.
I think if he is able to win the Super Bowl this year it may well be his last game. If he makes it to the Super Bowl but doesn't win he might come back depending on how much of the GB team will be back for next year. If he thinks he has another shot at the Super Bowl he will probably be back if he doesn't get the ring this year. It's tough to say though. I agree, he is truly one of the greatest if not greatest QBs to ever play the game. A true legend.
