Scott Glesner No. 14
Jeremiah Coggins No. 14
Coach Frank Beamer's Hokies slipped up the first week versus ECU, but they were couldn't be beat by anyone till they slipped up against NC State. Tech is back on track, and a favorable schedule the rest of the way. They still have Miami to go, and that will be the true test.

Been playing better not need more out of their quarterback beside the run.
Clark Nelson No. 17

Not the same Hokies that lost to ECU.

The Hokies seem back on track after the East Carolina deal earlier this season. The ACC is week, so they should prosper.
Jonny S. No. 17
The Hokies tend to always start slow but seem to be playing much better lately. Need I mention it one more time to Coach Beamer... No more Sean Glennon!!!
BabyTate No. 17
The Drifters. They drift around each season and then end up winning the ACC.
Robbie Munroe No. 18
Steve Moreau No. 18

Owen Munro No. 18
College Football Fanatic No. 18
As poorly as they played against a team they were expected to beat by 25, 30, or even more, there was no one else to move up to No. 18, really.
Dan Alexandre No. 18
Peter R No. 18
Knotch another win and move up the polls.
Archie Adams No. 18
Their win vs North Carolina is looking more impressive, but their loss to ECU is definitely holding them back.
Toby Parker No. 18
Not impressive during the Western Kentucky game, but after the way the season started for the Hokies I think they like where they are at heading into the bye.
Joe Barton No. 18
The Hokies aren't perfect, but they are looking much better since their upset loss to ECU. A lack of offensive weapons is easily seen. Taylor looks like an inexperienced QB. Their defense is streaky. The fact that they're in the ACC and have already beaten UNC does help their case.
Dan Boss No. 18
Colin Flosi No. 18
Would be undefeated if Tyrod Taylor would have started the season.
Kevin Buller No. 18
They lost the season opener to East Carolina, which up until a few weeks ago that was a big deal, now not so much, but as the Hokies continue to run through the ACC, they will continue to be the conference front-runner, even ahead of Wake Forrest
Landon Hulet No. 18
Eric Thomason No. 18
Matthew Smith No. 18
Robert Kelly No. 18
The Hokies are recovering nicely from that early-season loss against ECU.
Matt Wright No. 19
Jason Perkins No. 19
The ACC is the 4th best conference this season, so it will be tough for VT to make it through the rest of the season unscathed. Good luck the rest of the way, I always like pulling for VT.
Aaron Barton No. 19
Peter Guaraldi No. 19
Trey Bradley No. 19
Wow, the first ACC team... 19th.

Looking better and could win the ACC but wont be competetive in a BCS game if they get there.
Ryan Williams No. 19

Chad Haynie No. 19
Ron Johnson No. 20
The Hokies are no longer the dominant team they used to be. There will be some new fire atop the ACC this year.

Good Coach

Had some trouble with Western Kentucky, but got it done and got the win, which is what counts
James Corley No. 20

Hokies have come back strong since early loss and can still be the power team in the ACC.
David Rung No. 20

GeorgiaDawg No. 21
Keith No. 21
Alex Farrer No. 21
Michael No. 22
Paul Peszko No. 23
Needs more convincing wins.
Joe Bleacher No. 23
Somehow, the Hokies just keep winning ball games. With narrow wins over Georgia Tech and North Carolina, Virginia Tech is in the driver's seat for the ACC Coastal Division crown.
Tim Pollock No. 23
Isaac Elyacharshuster No. 23
Jaws of Defeat No. 23
Jason Hackney No. 24
Yes there record is 5-1, but they are going to fall apart when they hit the meat and potatoes of their schedule. They had their hands full with Western Kentucky!!! Posers. Here by default record and conference prestige.
