B/R Top25 USC Comments Week Seven
Trey Bradley No. 2
Might have to beat ASU without Sanchez. Shouldn't be a problem, but if this injury bug continues to linger, it could be the Trojans downfall.
Jonny S. No. 4
Many will argue with me but I do not care...talent wise, nobody competes with USC. Oregon St. was their hiccup and now it is time for them to run the table and be among the top 3.

Look like they are back on track.
Joe Bleacher No. 6
The Trojans made the Oregon Ducks pay big-time for USC's previous-week slip against the Beavers. Look for USC to dominate the rest of their schedule, with the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish perhaps providing the most difficult obstacle.

Here due to one loss; here also because they are USC. Still believe USC wins the National Championship

I think USC is still a good football team, but right now they are not the Trojans of the last year or five. I look for them to finish top 5, but they still have an above average schedule. Pete Carroll's squad is still better than 95% of all other teams in the country.
Ryan Williams No. 7
Andy Walsh No. 7
Trojans looked like themselves in destroying Oregon. Need to hope for a lot more upsets in front of them and keep winning big.
Eric Thomason No. 7
Robert Kelly No. 7
An impressive win over Oregon moves them up to No. 7.

The Trojans have lost the last 3 years to one of the Oregon teams and then beat the other. This weekends big win over the Ducks was no surprise. USC needs to keep cranking out big wins like this to keep attention on them. The Sun-Devils are next

USC returns to winning ways against Oregon. The rest of the season will tell us if the loss to Oregon State was a fluke or not.

Nice comeback after losing last weekend. Still the team to beat in the Pac Ten.

They should win out from here, but they don't belong in the National Championship game unless the teams ahead of them play themselves out.
Andrew Kajfasz No. 9
Trojans make a good recovery against Oregon, walloping the Ducks.
Peter R No. 9
Oregon almost cost them another loss. They will be glad to not return to the state for two years.
Toby Parker No. 9
The formula for USC: keep winning and let the teams in front of them beat each other.
Joe Barton No. 9
The Trojans easily put away Oregon and look like the from USC two weeks ago. Mark Sanchez is up to pace now and the Trojans look to move on and hope for some upsets.
Kevin Paul No. 9
Where was this against the Beavers a few weeks back?

Like Georgia, only they didn't lose to Alabama. They lost to the Oregon State Beavers. The Trojans are still in the mix with an easy conference, only Georgia's chances are better now.
Paul Peszko No. 9
Dominant Victory. 41 unanswered points.

Despite the big win over Oregon, I'm still not going to jump all over them and think they're the best in the nation like the many AP voters will.

The Trojans still own the biggest upset of the season. But they bounced back and destroyed Oregon to get back on track. However, they did the exact same thing that Florida did and got ranked above them. Not in this writer's opinion.

Shawn Withrow No. 11

Much of the Trojans early season hype was the result of beating a bad Virginia team 52-7 in the opener. How big does that victory seem now after they lost to UCONN 46-10? The men of Troy bounced back from losing to the Beavers by beating up on the Ducks. With the state of the Pac 10 this year, I will not be impressed until they beat a quality team from the Big 12 or SEC. Given their one loss, that may never happen.
Tim Pollock No. 11
Dave Nemetz No. 11
A convincing win at home over a so-so Oregon team is a good start, but these Trojans need to repeat that every week for the rest of the season in order to climb back into the top ten and the BCS picture.

In my mind they are still the number one team in the country, which is why that Oregon State loss still doesn't make sense. hickup or not you have to win those games.
Jason Perkins No. 16
I am still not convinced that this is an elite team. After watching Oregon State play just as hard this week as they did last week and come out on the losing end against Utah. Even if they win out from here, I'll still have my doubts about any team in the PAC 10.
