Still Unbeaten since winning the BCS Championship so until they are beaten they're Numero Uno

The Tigers are the defending champs...and they have yet to lose since...

The undefeated defending National Champions will have a chance to finally get some '08 love this week in The Swamp.

That win at Auburn is not looking so great right now, but LSU holds on to a top 5 spot.

After seeing Alabama struggle a bit last weekend, LSU is now my pick to win the SEC.

defending undefeated champions belong here.

If they had been more impressive they would still be number one.
Toby Parker No. 3
As I said for Alabama, the Tigers and Tide are neck and neck. However, a win in The Swamp this weekend will push the Tigers past the Tide.

A trip to Gianesville will certainly give a preview of what is to come of the Tigers the rest of the season.
James Corley No. 3
No need to upset an already accurate top-5.
Aleksey Dubrovensky No. 3
Almost as impressive as Alabama so far. The winner of the SEC West could be the national champion this year. Tigers beat Auburn on the road and that win still looks good, but Bama has a better looking resume. And Sooners haven't had anyone breathe on them yet.
Colin Flosi No. 3
Beats out Missouri due to the fact that they have a defense and look to be coming into a groove on offense. I can't drop them during a bye week just because Mizzou beat a Nebraska team that will go 5-7 this season.

Unlike most people who will put Missouri first, I completely disagree. The SEC is BY FAR the toughest schedule and the Tigers never disappoint. In argument to Missouri, I'd say beating Auburn at their own place is more than any two Missouri opponents so far!

The Tigers were off this week.

If they can avoid the mistakes they made last time they were in the swamp they should win.
Kevin Buller No. 4
A week off to prepare should have the Tigers prepped to play the Gators. it will not be easy playing in the Swamp, but LSU is primed to compete for the SEC title and possibly the national championship, beating the Gators is a must

The Tigers had a BYE on Saturday, but I still think they are a top 5 team despite the close call two weeks ago. Losing almost half of their team has not come back to haunt them yet.
