2011 NFL Draft: Cincinnati Bengals Take Quarterback Andy Dalton
2011 NFL Draft: Bengals Get TCU Quarterback Andy Dalton
With Carson Palmer's future still in limbo, the Bengals give themselves a security blanket by drafting quarterback Andy Dalton at No. 35.
While not the most physically gifted quarterback, Dalton is an intelligent player and all he did at TCU was win.
Once in Cincinnati, the Bengals could team Dalton with first round pick A.J. Green to give their offense the jump-start it needs.
Its not a pick the Bengals likely want to make, but it's one they should seriously consider to give themselves a backup plan at quarterback if in fact Carson Palmer is serious about his retirement threats.
