Mountaineer Football Update 12 April 2011: 7 Things Happening You Should Know

Bob AllenCorrespondent IIApril 11, 2011

Sometimes it is hard to go to multiple websites and see whats going on with your West Virginia Mountaineers, especially if you don't know where to look. So I have made it short and sweet, everything below is linked so you can read it straight from the source just as if you stumbled upon it yourself.

1) Oliver Luck is requesting that controlled alcohol sales be permitted at certain WVU athletic events.

2) WVU has now received four verbal commitments from new recruits for 2012. One of the latest recruits is a QB from Houston, TX. WVU is now looking very good in the future as far as prospects at the QB position.

3) Villanova delays vote that would decide if it joins the Big East.

4) Dana Holgorsen's offense will keep fans in their seats for a longer period.

5) Pat White may be headed to the Canadian Football League.

6) The 2011 "Friends of Coal Bowl" may be played on Sunday, September 4, instead of Saturday, September 3. It is the same link as above, go halfway down the page until you see the break between the stories.

7) West Virginia's spring football game known as the Gold-Blue game, will be on Friday, April 29, at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, WV. Kickoff will be at 7pm and will be preceded by the "old timers" game and a coaches dinner the night before. Remember the proceedings from the game will go to the WVU Children's Hospital; tickets are available for $10 and you can get them here.
