Daily Haze: NFL Football in 2011 Looks a Little More Likely
If you were hoping to check NFL lines found at BetUS next season, your chances got a little better that there actually will be lines—and games—this past weekend.
Despite the previous mediation between the league and players falling apart faster than the Boston Celtics after the NBA trade deadline, the federal judge overseeing the case between the NFL and NFLPA has ordered that both sides return to the table. Of all the scenarios that could have played out in court, this seems like the best case.
But I am no lawyer, so don’t take my word for it.
However, before the lockout started, it did seem that the two sides were making progress. Though they remained far enough apart to cause the lockout, the judge must have agreed that the best chance for both sides to be happy at the end of this is to get back to mediation.
So that is where we are, football fans. Keep those fingers crossed.
