Is Titus Young the Ideal Playmaking Slot Receiver for Baltimore Ravens?
The Baltimore Ravens are looking for a deep threat option to expand their offense. Derrick Mason or Anquan Boldin is not going to be that guy, so which wide receiver could they draft to expand the playing field?
The speedy wide receiver out of Boise State, Titus Young has been rising up draft boards, and for good reason; he was amazing to watch at the combine, and can be a big time contributor on special teams as well as the receiver position.
Like many others discussed for the Ravens, Young has popped up on first-round mock drafts once in a while, both for them and the Falcons. He's projected as a second-tier receiver who will go late in the second round. The question is, is he a good fit for the Ravens?
I believe he is a great fit for the Ravens. He has the speed to stretch the field, he has great leaping ability, and he can make things happen. He's not a special teams player, but the Ravens don't really need those anyway with Billy Cundiff kicking touchbacks.
He will have some adjusting to do, but it should be easier for him than others, and as long as gets a bit stronger, he would fit well on the Ravens.
