2011 Masters: McIlroy's Hopes Dashed at the 10th?
The nerves and pressure of the Masters have finally affected Rory McIlroy.
After hitting a drive that ended up in between the cabins that line the 10th hole, McIlroy struggled to find the green. He hit more trees and reached the green in five shots.
Remember the 10th hole is a par four.
McIlroy ended up carding a triple bogey, 7, on the 10th hole.
And while it does not totally drop him from contention, it puts him two shots behind a host of players at the 10-under-par.
In all honesty, this is probably the last we will hear from McIlroy at the 2011 Masters. At only 21-years of age, he will have trouble bouncing back from such a devastating hole.
There is still time, however, if he wants to prove the doubters wrong.
