Allen Iverson: Allen Iverson Hits another Speed Bump in Atlanta
Allen Iverson Sees His Lamborghini Impounded Before His Eyes
Former NBA guard Allen Iverson has seen his career move to Europe. He's seen injuries start to slow him down.
And, now, he's seen his Lamborghini taken away from him.
On Friday, Iverson's car was pulled over in Atlanta after failing to change lanes. Upon further review, Atlanta police determined the car's plates were expired since 2009.
An A.I. tirade later, his Lamborghini was impounded.
After getting pulled over, Iverson reportedly threw a slew of insults at police, including "Take the vehicle, I have 10 more" and "police don't have anything else (expletive) to do except (expletive) with me."
For good measure, Iverson made sure to add, "Do you know who I am?"
Controversial throughout his NBA career, it appears Iverson couldn't stay in the shadows for much longer.
It's the same attitude that he exhibited against Atlanta police that drew squabbles with coaches, and saw a player of his caliber traded way too many times during his NBA career.
But the customary "Do you know who I am?" takes the cake. The funny thing is, he's playing in Europe and hasn't seen productive minutes in the NBA in years, yet he still thinks he's a star.
You're prime days are over, A.I.
It's time to grow up. Twenty-minute tirades won't get you anywhere, no matter who you are.
Or aren't these days.
