2011 Masters Tee Times
Masters Saturday Tee Times Feature Plenty of Intriguing Storylines
The final group of Rory McIlroy (-10) and Jason Day (-8) will tee off at 2:45 PM (ET). Day landed a spot in the final group thanks to his furious finish to round two. The 23-year-old Australian birdied two of his final three holes to leapfrog Tiger Woods and earn a spot opposite McIlroy. Tiger (-7) will tee off at 2:35 (ET) with perennial Masters bridesmaid K.J Choi (-7).
McIlroy was undoubtedly rooting for Day to join him in the final group as the last thing he needed was to have stare down a suddenly rejuvenated Tiger Woods all day Saturday. Both young guns stand to benefit from their pairing together as they play similar grip it and rip it styles and both are facing the impossible pressure of winning their first major.
Some other featured groups on Sunday include the 2:05 PM (ET) group featuring aging fan favorite Fred "Boom Boom" Couples and young upstart Ricky Fowler. Both Fowler and Couples sit at 5 shots back of McIlroy at (-5) but figure to play into the outcome on Sunday.
Defending champion, Phil Mickelson (-2) teed off early at 12:55 PM (ET).
