WWE News: Will Triple H Be Successful In His New Position With WWE?
Can Triple H Be A Good Talent Evaluator For WWE?
One of the worst kept secrets in all of WWE was made official on Thursday, when WWE’s corporate offices released a press release officially announcing Triple H as the new head of talent development.
His official job description reads as follows:
The new department will put a greater emphasis on worldwide recruitment, training and character development to identify future WWE Superstars and Divas. The first recruit acquired under Levesque’s (Triple H) new department was the signing last month of future WWE Superstar, Sin Cara, formerly known worldwide as Mistico.
Everyone has known that Triple H was going to take some position backstage when his career was over with because he is married to Stephanie McMahon and has had as much power backstage as anyone in the company has ever had.
This is a big change, but one that he can likely handle because he knows wrestling and has a passion for the business. They did try and spin the Mistico signing as his deal, which isn’t entirely true.
According to WrestlingObserver.com, Mistico had been in talks with the company for many years through John Laurinaitis, but HHH is the one who put the idea of a major push behind him with the press conference in Mexico and push to near the top right away plan.
It’s a good idea to give someone who really, truly cares about the wrestling aspect of things a position where he can recruit the next generation of wrestlers. Triple H will be very good in this role for a very long time.
