Wrestlemania 27 Results : Undertaker Stays Perfect with Win over Triple H
Undertaker stays perfect in Wrestlemania 27 results
Five minutes into the epic battle between the Undertaker and Triple H, you knew you were watching something special. Maybe it was the stipulation of a No Holds Barred, or maybe it was the realization of two legends near the end of their career that there was nothing left to lose, that this match would define them.
For Undertaker it was his shot at continued perfect.
For Triple H it was the ultimate notch in his belt.
In a match filled with near finishes and stunts that were a bit out of the norm for two traditional bruisers, there was no question that the winner would have to pay the price.
Triple H and the Undertaker put on a show for the capacity crowd. In recent memory I can’t remember a match where both guys “sold out” more. Every move look painful, it was exactly what good wrestling is supposed to be.
Triple H threw everything he could to take down the Undertaker. Pedigrees, steel chairs, and even the Tombstone the Undertakers finishing move.
But in the end the Undertaker used the Hell’s Gate submission move to choke out Triple H.
The Undertaker has had better finishes, like the ones he had with Shawn Michaels over the past two years, but none might have been more poetic than his victory tonight. In a night where he had nothing left he mustered up the will to win and finish off Triple H with the only thing he had left in him.
As he nears the end of his career he is fighting with nothing left. It’s taken everything he’s had just to make it to Mania. No life left in his knees, only the will to keep the one thing that separates him from everyone else.
Triple H tried to end him tonight, but there ain’t no grave that can hold his body down.
