WWE Wrestlemania: Daniel Bryan and Shaemus Get Screwed out of Title Match
WWE Wrestlemania sees a title match change
Daniel Bryan and Shaemus had to take one for the team.
What was supposed to be a match between the reigning U.S Champion and Shaemus is no more.
According to Chris Cash from Wrestlezone there was a last minute change.
WZ's own Chris Cash is live in Atlanta for WrestleMania, and is reporting that Sheamus (c) vs. Daniel Bryan for The US Title has been taken off the main PPV card and the match is taking place right now as a lumberjack dark match. More details on this developing story as they become available.
While it can’t be confirmed as to why it was changed, there were some earlier reports that Vince McMahon had shortened some of the other matches to make more room for the Rock/Cena/Miz confrontation as well as the Undertaker and Triple H’s match.
Of course, many of the wrestlers backstage were not happy that they were being cut short. This is the biggest show of the year and there was no way they would want to be cut out of the mix.
Of course Bryan and Shaemus were forced to do the dark match.
I, for one, think the WWE is doing this to keep the Rock happy. There has been reports that the Rock has really enjoyed his time and is interested in doing more after the show. McMahon has been doing his best to make him happy because having the Rock back in WWE is better for everyone.
Even if Daniel Bryan and Shaemus have to suffer on the biggest stage of them all.
