WWE WrestleMania 27 may be the end of wrestling.

For years the WWE has stood for World Wrestling Entertainment.

However going forward that is about to chance.

The following is a report that Wrestlezone.com picked up from the Wrestling Observer.  I couldn’t find the report they were referring to, but it appears more than valid nonetheless.

Wrestlezone reports:

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that in a meeting held yesterday, it was agreed upon that WWE would no longer be referred to as "World Wrestling Entertainment." Because of Vince McMahon's desire to rid the use of the word "wrestling" in the company name, it's being said that the company will solely be referred to as "WWE," and it will be branded as such.

This, right here, is another reason that I believe Wrestling should be marketed the same way a TV show is. Vince McMahon wants his brand to be about more than Wrestling. He should change the brand then.

My advice would be to have a nine month season. Take it from Royal Rumble and bring it all the way to and through September(or whatever nine month period is best for the WWE). This way wrestlers could have an off season to get healed and ready for the next season. This would allow guys to do side projects as well.

Had they had an offseason the may have never lost the Rock in the first place.

As the WWE moves into the future they need to worry about not diluting the product the way they already have.

Do you think the WWE can survive on less new wrestling shows, but better content throughout?
