Christian answers questions about his involvement in WWE WrestleMania 27

There is no question that Christian will be a part of WWE WrestleMania 27, but it should go without saying that his involvement won’t be what most of us hoped it would.

In an interview that Christian did with between the ropes, reported by James Caldwell of PWTorch, Christian said his injury played a significant role in his not being added to the WWE WrestleMania 27 card.

Christian said:

"Yeah, it'll be a little strange (not being in a match), but my goal was to get back on time - and I knew I was cutting it close as far as the recovery - so just to be back with Edge doing our thing, I think that makes it worthwhile.”

While I don’t discount that his injury played a very serious role in his decision to be left off the WWE WrestleMania 27 roster, I think things are always more than what they seem.

I’m betting, and I could be wrong, but I’m betting that he’ll screw Edge out of the title.

Look, Christian needs to add a layer to the feud between Alberto Del Rio and screwing edge out of the world championship would be a great way to start. I don’t think this would start an Edge vs. Christian feud as much as it would support Christians claim that he belongs in the big title picture.

I personally believe that Christian could carry the strap on SmackDown. I think he’s got everything that Del Rio has and if he were given the chance he could do it.

Let’s hope being in Edge’s corner turns out to be an interesting turn of events.
