Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is certainly making a name for himself in the racing world. Last year the Mississippi-born 23-year-old was voted the NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, and he is the points leader so far this year in the series.
Stenhouse Jr. races the No. 6 Blackwell Angus Beef Ford for Roush Fenway Racing. The interesting thing about his car and teammate Trevor Bayne's car is that they are predominantly white. These two racers lack all of the sponsorship stickers that the veteran drivers boast on their cars.
However, this has not stopped the duo, who have quite the friendly rivalry going on.
In the Roush Fenway offices there is a doll, and whoever finishes best in the race gets his name on the face (usually Stenhouse), while whoever finishes worst gets his face planted on the butt of the doll (Bayne). The boys seem to enjoy the camaraderie and push each other each week.
Regardless of who wins each race, Roush Fenway has two rising stars in Stenhouse and Bayne.
