Zuffa Interjects in Fedor Emelianenko Negotiations with Strikeforce

Luan MadaniCorrespondent IMarch 31, 2011

The man who many considered the best mixed martial artist of all-time may be facing a career threatening situation as Zuffa has interjected themselves into his Strikeforce contract negotiations and have refused to renew it.

According to Lifesports.ru, UFC owners came into the picture after Fedor and his management had been negotiating a new contract.

Fedor is currently on a two-fight losing streak for the first time in his career. In essence, his stock has gone down dramatically as the mystique has evaporated with loses to Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Silva.

The man dubbed "The Last Emperor" could be facing a dire situation as it looks as if he has to look elsewhere to fight, or retire all-together.

More on this situation as the story develops.
