David Wright and Jose Reyes...
Two of the New York Mets best ever homegrown talents. Have they choked down the stretch of the past two seasons?
YES—Angry Mets Fan STAMP OF ACCURACY
Ok, so they may not have played their most clutch games ever at the end of the season, but that does NOT mean we should still give up on them just yet.
Why you ask?
I was ready to ship these two out of town when the Mets laid an egg at the final game at Shea Stadium, but just last night I had a revelation which convinced me to change my mind.
I was bored so I popped an old gamecube video game Home Run King into my Wii. It was an awful game based on the 2002 MLB season.
I wanted to play a little Mets vs Phillies game real fast just to beat down on the dang Sillies, when I noticed just how horrid the Mets Lineup was! We had an aged Edgardo Alfonso playing third base and Rey Sanchez at shortstop, I think....
DO YOU EVEN REMEMBER WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE BEFORE WRIGHT AND REYES CAME ALONG!?
SURE THEY MAY HAVE SUCKED IN SEPTEMBER, BUT HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO EVEN PLAY MEANINGFUL GAMES DOWN THE STRETCH IF YOU TRADE AWAY OUR TWO BEST PLAYERS!?
I'm the Angry Mets Fan, I FLIP OUT so you don't have to!
